Russia didn’t exactly muster a very big tank battalion for its annual Victory Day celebration, which commemorates the defeat of Nazi Germany in World War II.
With Russia’s war in Ukraine ongoing and military hardware in short supply, videos and images from the event showed just one tank — a T-34 — on display. According to unconfirmed tallies, there were other vehicles, but not tanks.
