Over 2 million Cosori air fryers are being recalled in North America over risks that they can overheat and cause a fire.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall on Thursday, and implored people to no longer operate certain models. “Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled air fryers and contact Cosori to receive their choice of a free replacement air fryer,” the recall notice states.

The air fryers in question were sold between 2018 and 2022 at both retail and online stores including Target TGT,
The recall involves several different models of Cosori air fryers, 3.7-quart and 5.8-quart sizes that were sold in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Every model involved in the recall can be found here.
The USCPSC claimed there have been “205 reports of the air fryers catching fire, burning, melting, overheating and smoking. These include 10 reports of minor, superficial burn injuries and 23 reports of minor property damage.”
Regarding the voluntary recall, Cosori says: “As one of the leading air fryer brands in the U.S., COSORI puts consumer safety first. In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Health Canada, and Mexico Procuraduría Federal del Consumidor (Profeco), COSORI is voluntarily recalling and replacing certain models of our air fryers.”
Consumers must contact Cosori at recall.cosori.com to receive a free replacement air fryer or another product. They must also provide their contact information and a photo of their recalled air fryer — receipts aren’t needed to receive a replacement.
