From the confines of his parents’ Palo Alto home, Sam Bankman-Fried is still giving interviews.
On Tuesday, crypto YouTuber Tiffany Fong posted a video recanting her meeting with the disgraced FTX founder in California, who is currently under house arrest.
While she didn’t record the interview, Fong revealed that Bankman-Fried wouldn’t be doing formal interviews until he has penned his official “comprehensive chronology of events” as he remembers them.
Bankman-Fried is scheduled to appear at the U.S. District Court in New York on Tuesday to reportedly enter a not guilty plea.

Just two weeks ago, Bankman-Fried was released from federal custody on a $250 million bail bond. He reportedly met with The Big Short author Michael Lewis shortly after, who has been following Bankman-Fried for six months for a new book.
Bankman-Fried described to Fong that his time at Fox Hill prison in the Bahamas was “maddening,” mostly due to the inability to communicate from the lack of internet and phone access.
“The only visitor he was allowed was his Bahamian lawyer and because he wasn’t allowed contact with his U.S. legal counsel, there were a lot of miscommunication apparently and he wasn’t able to partake in negotiations over his bail conditions or his extradition,” Fong said.
“Basically Sam said that this inability to communicate basically drove him mad,” she added.

Bankman-Fried also admitted to Fong that he was somewhat better off than other inmates because he had access to running water and a toilet, but the conditions were something he could get used to over time.
Bankman-Fried he told Fong in a previous interview that he’d donated to both U.S. political parties. He’s now the subject of a Federal Election Commission complaint, and one of the eight criminal charges from the Department of Justice is for conspiring to defraud the United States by violating campaign finance laws.
